About 99 Names of Allah

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said,“Allah has ninety-nine names. Whoever preserves them will enter Paradise.”Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 7392, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2677.

Allah cannot be seen with our eyes in this world – we have to know Allah through His creation and through His names. Knowing the names of Allah is also important due to the fact the Allah has asked us to call upon Him by his beautiful names – Allah says in the Qur'an, “Allah has the Most Beautiful Names. So call upon Him by them.” Sura Al-A'raf 7:180
